SHDSL is to replace SDSL as the 2003 (or more) I think, but I have never seen advertised broadband speeds to 1.5 Mbps out of the SDSL line ... 2.3 Mbps SHDSL go and have the advantage over SDSL (another long loop for broadband speeds, less interference and other data lines, 4-wire mode). I m not educated on the topic, but also have a feeling that there may be some cost savings.
Today T1 is often delivered using this technology, but why not give customers SHDSL as usual from a dedicated line DSL DSLAM .... and they want to give customers more quickly, depending on the distance?
Do not just ISP's DSLAM equipment repair them, or you do not want to remove t Top Grain prices T1 service?
You need a T1 SLA true, but sure love d to 2.3 Mbps up and down to say $150/mo or more.
First .... You should check that sell SDSL. Basically Covad and several small CLECs. They bought a non-standards-based SDSL old and still use the equipment.
With Covad's financial situation I can see what they were around ripping out the year t, all their DSLAMs.
There is some hope though, Earthlink their money developing new DSLAMs and ADSL2 support LPV in major markets. I * think * the new DSLAMs also offer new SDSL broadband speeds as well, which probably means SHDSL (and ultimately to the real hook of the router to the SDSL line).
Most DS-1s are released today by using either HDSL or HDSL2 on 1 or 2 pairs.
ILECs t years will increase the equipment must be due to the availability of different technologies. Even with existing technologies, many consumers and businesses located only in the struggle to get ADSL services.
Covad, XO, etc. that have been selling SDSL services may not increase their investments given the existing equipment .... and given the current state of competition in Internet services.
Service prices fell to $12.99 / mo and their use has slashed the price increase, I would not you want to be one of the other players who will make major capital expenditures to upgrade now. I d worry about staying in business. People are driven prices .....
Although only my opinion, why take the value of s.
