I personally feel that the digital radio receiver will follow the same path that follows a lot of electronics. At the starting point and the price will be about the improvement of technology and mass manufacturing process better, then the cost will fall dramatically. We have seen this trend in the past such things as television, VCR, telephone, equipment for Stero name but a few.
Digital radio stations have thousands more options to regular listeners of the former PM and FM analog radio. There's a quality issue. Gone are the days of radio quality will fluctuate as the primary or not you drive under the overpass or through electrical outlets. Through digital, there is relatively no interference from any outside source that can ruin your listening experience. This is one big plus digital radio. Also, there is no need to guess the game when you hear your monitor and disk jockey because only neglected to mention his name. And digital radio and called the discovery radiotext, listeners will be able to read the artist's name and the title track of their rights as a radio receiver is the song played. Radio can also send information about news, weather and traffic directly to the text of a radio receiver. I like this option much.
Each station now says one truly digital. They are the only hybrid analogue and digital radio receivers to take place the first analog signal and then home in on the digital signal to broadcast better. Or the last possibility, although there is, because it may be even possible for digital stations, and announced the video image directly into the car or home stereo through the magic of digital broadcasting.
Although terrestrial digital radio at least ten years' time, there is the experience of some of the benefits of digital radio today. Satellite radio, in America brought to you by XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio something close to full digital radio. They provide the listener with a more radiotext and allows people to see what they are listening, too.
