What about the lowly keypad?

Did you ever stop to think about a simple button? But when you think about it, it's not as simple things after all. Keypads a gear in our lives every day - look at the house - are on the phone keypads, calculator, security systems, garage door, computer, microwave, appliances, dryer, TV remote, game consoles. The list goes on and on.

Calculator and the first time began to finger and our fingers with a small company and developed by Abacus figures (2700-2300 BC). First mechanical calculator was created in 1623. Fast forward to the 1850s when the first successful key adding machine counting run and they were created. This may be the beginning of the first and the first keypad key. After the samples for 10-key adding machine and calculator set up, it became the industry.

When the push button telephone keypad found in the 1960s, the order was the opposite of the calculator buttons.
· Calculator button = 3x3 climb in the number plus one.
· Phone keypad = 3x3 in decreasing the number plus one.

There is a theory that the telephone layout was chosen to keep the people with experience and improve the engine will call more quickly than the network able to answer. Whatever the layout of buttons, all the configuration remains today in the 21st century.

Keypads as we know them today are getting smaller but more sensitive to touch. Think about your phone and texting. Do I see the rubber keypad is more gentle and sensitive to touch? Makes people wonder what the next generation will produce rubber keypads.
